Wedding Photography Tips For The Bride

Dec 27, 2014

Wedding should be one of the best days of your life– not a source of disappointment and regret. Getting the right photographer is important, but there are other things as well that you can do to make sure your wedding photos are as good as they can be.

The most important thing that you should know is having an acquaintance with the photographer. If you are comfortable with him, your pictures are bound to get clicked beautifully and in the most natural poses possible. The more time you spend with your photographer, the more likely is that he will capture that one special moment which happens once in a lifetime.

Wedding Photography guide for the Bride – Pose

Chin up, hold your shoulders back and your breath....don’t move! Want to know the reason behind these poses? By lifting your chin you banish your double chin and holding your elbows away from your body reduces the apparent width of your torso and accentuates the bosom.

Arching your back, even while sitting will make you look more confident.

Try to stand on one foot or in easy words put most of your weight on one leg, it will give you a more relaxed and curvaceous look.

Background and angles

You might have noticed that many times dark complicated backgrounds in your photos distract viewer’s attention as it makes your pictures look unpleasant. Go for simple backgrounds to add life to your pictures. Interesting angles by professional photographers make the pictures look beautiful and different from the lot. So whenever you find a photographer clicking photographs at odd positions, don’t laugh at him, he’s simply doing his job ;)

Lighting

Always keep the lighting in mind when choosing a venue for your wedding. If planning for an outdoor Wedding, the best light happens 1-2 hours before Sunset. And if planning for an indoor one, try to avoid buildings with dark ceilings and few windows. Natural light will look much better in your photos; therefore try to plan a time for the Wedding when the room will look brightest.

Remember to ask your DJ to kill the laser light show; they make you look like as if suffering from some skin disease.

I hope these simple easy-to-do tips will make you look better for your Wedding photo shoot J
